Stopped for a horse natter with Pat the farmer , just getting ready to go for a ride . The farm horses haven’t had much work this last year , the tractors been favoured but the boys will be doing a field of spuds for us  this year . 
Managed a SD chat Claudia and baby Abigail, then with Susan and David and later a long distance cuppa tea and sloe gin with Liz ( Hubs fixing her bike) . Quite a social whirl . 
Stan the van getting investigated for the leak/s .
No riding today, I’m knackered and Daisy a little foot sore yesterday, I have been riding on stony ground at Sopwell a lot recently, so we both had a rest, although the horses were all flying about the field this afternoon, slithering through the mud , I’m always amazed that they can stop before the fence rather than plough into it . 
Hubs won 3:1 at backgammon - grrrr (I  poss slightly had a little too much sloe gin )!
