St Stephen's

SATURDAY

It's poured down with rain all day. 

By 4 pm I felt so guilty that I put on my coat and headed down through North Dean Woods to Copley and then alone the canal towards Salterhebble. Having then realised that the stretch of road to West Vale would be flooded and impassable on foot I decided to re-trace my steps back home. (5.6 km in total).

I took this shot of St Stephen's Church looking across the swollen River Calder. See similar shot taken 6 weeks ago when the river was about half a metre lower.

Hopefully I will scrape in 10,000 steps.
