A ray of light

I met Cathie for a dog walk. We bumped into another neighbour we has a pup the same age. Her mother recently died of Covid. Later I heard another friend’s mother had died, also from Covid. I know that things are supposed to be improving now, and I am optimistic about the vaccine but two deaths, two sets of condolences and the visible distress of those left behind are very sobering. With those thoughts and the fog and grey sky this ray of light was very welcome.
