Two Chickadees

Dear Diary,

There is something about the round, fluffy shape of a Chickadee that I can't resist. The challenge for me is being able to catch a hint of a highlight in the black eye which disappears in their black cap otherwise.  I've added another in the extras with a different pose. 

I've also added a pastel like "painting" of some daylilies and catmint from my garden last summer.  Just a bit of a summer memory reimagined.  I use to love to work in oil and chalk pastel back in the day.
