Gifts given and received

Haven’t gone beyond the front doorstep today even though I suspect we’ve had the best day in what could be a few days! (Snow is predicted)
Did catch some of the cricket and a good friend sent me a picture of the mug she was having her tea in while watching the cricket too. It is a mug I had made for her for Christmas with pictures of her grandson and daughters on. The other shot is my bedtime reading. A gift to me from a college friend who obviously listened when I said I rarely read the Old Testament because I finding it a tad like wading through treacle! So for my birthday arrived the book of psalms and a version written in plain English. And honestly I am finding it quite easy to read. Still don’t think I will be running to the OT any time soon.
