Pines and beeches

On our local walk today the  sun came out briefly and there  was a chink of blue sky above the beeches and Scots pines. There were some Jackdaws and possibly some Rooks in the tops of the trees. There used to be a rookery plus nesting jackdaws here for many years, but then they moved away a couple of years ago. Perhaps they have returned to nest here again?
