Amaryllis

I've been watching flower heads gradually take on a deep pink edging and then this morning the first bud had opened with a second not too far behind.

My second Amaryllis is quite different ..... taller stem and only one bud pointing skywards. It's a few days away from flowering .... I hope.

It's been a miserable day and according to the forecast things are not going to improve any time soon.
