Made the most of the sunshine today.

The winter storms have removed a lot of the shingle, and uncovered the steps down to the beach. Different view here, 2nd Feb.  The first extra is a mid 70s photo of me and my daughter showing the drop.

People do like to see the "reclaimed" beach, but don't realise how destructive the sea was then - breaking up the sea wall and road, flooding properties and denting the cars of those unwise enough to drive along the seafront to watch the waves!

The second extra is the mill race pond at Tide Mills.
