A Cold Swim...

I hadn't had a proper swim for a while so when one of the group I would normally swim with suggested we head out, I decided to take the chance and go for it.

Normally I would be right up for it but with the wind and rain we had this morning, there was much less enthusiasm!!

However once in and once acclimatised, it was great to get back in the water... though because the water was a tad choppy (not too visible in the photo but a different story once in the water) , I quickly lost sight of my swimming buddy which was a good reminder of the danger aspects of "Open Water Swimming".

It's due to get colder over the next few days so I reckon I'll have to find some "Man Up Tablets" if a venture back in is on the cards!!
