Weather still grim.

Cold very wet and windy, but coats on and a beach walk planned. Along the foreshore the dog started barking at the beach (not that an unusual occurrence, but he did seem to be very persistent) An examination was required. Turns out it was a dead porpoise at the high water mark. Big creature, must have been five feet long.

Anyway, as it wouldn't play the dog quickly lost interest.

Sad to see such a lovely creature dead but a privilege to see it so close up. If I tried to design a creature to go through water any more efficiently I doubt I could,
