Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge

This morning, we took a driving tour of Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, about 30 miles north of here in Washington. There were no hiking trails available today, but also not very many cars, so it was easy to make frequent stops to watch the birds. What a great place; we hadn't been here for years, and can't imagine why not. Then we walked along a trail at nearby Vancouver Lake. It really felt good to get away.
