Birmingham Museum and Gallery
One of my favourite photographic pursuits is to attempt to take a photograph that fully embodies the feeling of exploring a beautiful location. For interior architecture shots, that often means an extreme wideangle. I have often repeatedly visited the same location in an attempt to perfect such a view, typically stitching large numbers of photos taken with a discrete Fuji x100 (my DSLR is too bulky; sometimes a compact can get far better results when the intention is not to draw attention). Processing has been done in PTGUI, as the results are better than the x100's own in-camera panoramic mode.
This photo is actually a first attempt, but lies just down the corridor from the Round Room of the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, one of my aforementioned favourite sites.
