Grantchester Meadows

I have taken many blips on the meadows when I have been out walking - they are an iconic place to go on local walks. This painting was done by a local artist: Glynn Thomas. It was bought many years ago at a local art gallery when they had a pre-Christmas exhibition, and it was one of the images used in the Cambridge Calendar in 1986. I like it because it is not a photograph . That chestnut tree is still here - often with cows sheltering beneath it!!
