Logs

First thing our second delivery of logs arrived. In milder winters one delivery has lasted all winter. This could be a three delivery winter if the weather continues like it has this week! The logs are delivered to our front gate but to get them all to our log store involves a significant expenditure of energy!

Home Learning support worked really well this morning. We really enjoy these twice weekly distanced learning experiences.  However, I do wonder how keen pupils will be to have shortened holidays and longer days to catch up. I already know what the teachers will think about this initiative. The use of volunteers is being mooted to help close the learning gaps.

Our afternoon walk took us via our local organic food shops to ensure that we had sufficient food for the weekend in case the forecast snow makes walking to the shops too treacherous over the weekend.

My Blip was taken on the promenade on the way home. For some, Scottish Independence is more important than anything else. For others, like the foamy figures in the surf who were successfully surfing the waves they were enjoying the independence the sea provided them with this stormy afternoon. I have no idea who painted this stone but its “independence” on the concrete sea wall stood out clearly.
