This little blackcap entertains me while I’m washing up. He’s acrobatic and precise as he picks the seeds from the montbretia, swinging on the flower heads and singing in between forages.

Scooby had an X-ray, no bone breakages, so it seems it is ligament. Snapped I am sure, as he has no apparent pain and no improvement as such, just his brilliant compensatory movement. I had a heart stopping 20 minutes while the vets carried out a Leishmaniasis test. Apparently it can result in ligament destruction. Negative thank God. So now we need to see if it can be / should be repaired.
