Darkness in the Moon...

Firstly, a big thanks to all who've joined in the self-mocking fun involved with the skateboard park pics - being a 48 yr old, the very idea that I would be going around, careering dangerously on two (four?) wheels ridiculous and preposterous!

I had of course, used the same LED keyfob torch as the previous day - the pverall colour was changed in processing - hint, a blue-ish sky at night, instead of an orange one? But I enjoyed the fun as well as the taking of it

Back to my more normal sort of fare, this has the moon sort of trying to escape from its low cloud confines, enhanced by exposure in editing. The original, was a pinkish-orange (I use a custom white balance setting - low kelvin number - for city night shots - same for past three nights, to see if it's any easier to 'deal' with.

There seemed to be this strange, silent bank of cloud slowly approaching, so subtle to the eye that I didn't notice it straight away. It just seemed to disperse and came to nothing, weatherwise.

The river is a tributary to the River Avon, very close to these swans flying low at sunrise blip of mine. I kept this image dark but when trying to open some of its shadows up, this cloud area went a clogged-up violet colour.

So, made a duplicate of that PSD (Photoshop document, which contains all the tricks and links and what you did to your image, in Photoshop) and monofied it (not a real word, I doubt!) then adding a blend of blue filtration over it.

Same lens as previous: Nikkor 17-35mm f2.8 at 17. 12mm DX eqv.
