Posing Swan

MrsB and I headed off to our Local Wildlife Reserve at Wigan Flashes this afternoon to be greeted by so many adult and young Swans, that we thought it must be National Swan Day!
Recently, a new road bypass has been built straight through the area, following the line of an old railway track, and the naysayers were convinced that wildlife would suffer; on the contrary, I've never seen so many different bird species in such vast numbers!
It's just about our favourite walk these days, and always brings us a great deal of pleasure!!
This was one of the many inquisitive swans that came to see if we had any food for them!
