Relaxing

One of my favourite places in the house is to be laid in front of this fire when Darren puts it on. Darren got home from work, made a fuss of me, gave me a treat then put the fire on just to warm up the living room a little. We do have central heating but it tends not to come on much during day and Darren rarely changes the temperature to force it on, but this little fire throws out enough heat quite quickly and of course Darren knows I like to relax in front of it.
The clock used to belong to Darren’s dad, it’s nothing special and not really Darren’s style, but it was his dads and he didn’t want it thrown away, so he decided it would look ok on top of fire alongside a photo of his dad in a frame. Its  not much and some people may think it looks naff, but for Darren it’s a memory of his dad, something he owned, something he touched and a happy photo of his dad and his dog.
