Confluence

At the entrance to Glen Kin a jumble of water under the old road bridge shows where the burns from the glen meet in a great swirl that has eroded the rock into smooth sculptures. As there has been no rain for two weeks now, the burns are low, allowing us to see these rock shapes clearly. What is also obvious is the difference in colour between the water from the right of the photo and that on the left, which has stained the rock a bright orange.

The water from the left drains the hillside where the waste disposal site for Dunoon is situated. 'Nuff said.
