Lonely goose

I haven’t seen a Canadian goose on the canal for months. This one was on his own and looked a bit lost. You can see from the towpath on the far side how much rain we’ve had, I think it’ll take a while to dry up.
I did for the clap for Captain Tom at 6pm but was a bit disappointed at the turnout. K was a bit late home from work and ran round the corner to the house just as the clap was finishing.
Had a naughty treat of a takeaway tonight, chicken and leek pie in a tarragon sauce with lovely chips, onion rings and delicious onion gravy. Highly recommend.
