Woke up to heavy rain with simultaneous sunshine - and by 11am the latter had won so I went down to the beach with Sandy the street dog.  First decent day weatherwhile for quite a while, so not surprised to find a few folk there, like me, soaking up the warm sunshine and enjoying the beautiful scene.

BBC News' obituary for Captain Sir Tom Moore (here) who touched a nation's hearts in oh so many ways had me in tears - I think I was crying for all of us.
