Squaaaawk!
Went out and scraped Fiona's car clear this morning while it was still dark. The frost was not thick but it was extremely hard; frozen solid. Fiona left, the kids drifted down to breakfast and the sun rose in the sky. As the sun rose a haar rolled up from the sea. The sun seemed to illuminate the haar until we were enveloped in a blazing light whose source was indistinct. This effect lasted only for a short while during which I caught this seagull perched on a roof, its beak opening in a scream but no sound being made. The haar thinned and vanished and the seagull took off as it left.
