Just another day

Wet and dreary today, but the new builders arrived this morning to do a temporary fix as they are worried about the impending bad weather. A father and son team, both called Mark Anthony, they took the quips with good humour. They did a much more thorough examination on both sides of the roof, and in the loft. We definitely need a new gully, and also a disused chimney stack capped off with additional lead flashing. They can’t do that until we have dryer weather so filled every gap with mastik for the time being. I made tea and cut them both a large slice of the lemon drizzle cake I made yesterday, in the hope they will return ASAP!
