Snowy start

Snow was forecast for this area for 24 hours, beginning at 2 AM. It did indeed snow in the night but by the time I was up at 6:45 AM it had turned to rain. I took this photo through the bedroom window looking out over the roofs. 

The rain continued until the snow washed away. All day has been rather misty - full on foggy at times! 

You can see how small the yards are in our street. The grey panels you see are next door's shed. Our yard is smaller than most as our house has a small extension to give us a slightly larger kitchen and a bathroom. Next door, like many houses here have turned the cupboard - sized kitchen into a utility room and made the "dining room" into a decent sized kitchen diner. The sloping corrugated roof at the back of the flat roof of our kitchen and bathroom is our shed. The bit where the roof is broken is an unused outdoor toilet!
