It started snowing late morning, at first I thought it was just going to be sleet and turning to rain, but as the afternoon has progressed it has got thicker and is lying on the ground now...... bit thick snowflakes now!

My blip is taken through the window for obvious reasons, so apologies for the quality but I think you can get the idea!

The birds were all trying hard to stock up before the snow got too thick.  We had blue tits, coal tits, blackbirds, and of course the robin, and also a starling who didn't succeed in his efforts to feed from the feeder.  However, a little later the HG put out some food on the little plinth and he managed a little then.

It is a hard time for the birds!
