Fading flowers

Is it only me that finds great beauty in flowers as they fade and wither?
This vase of flowers is turning into an irresistible still life subject in it's last days. This bloom was glorious, but had a short life in the vase, though it is slowly dying very elegantly.
And it's often exiting with grace which marks out the very best, be it a flower or people...
