Allotment Day

The sun came out today so we took our cue and headed for the allotment.
I finished the little path in front door compost bins and we planted some iris Sibiricus which we took from the garden. Buds on the plum tree are swelling and one of the onions is sending up shoots. All the more surprising as the earth is part permafrost and part swamp.
Lovely to get out in the sunshine even if it’s a bit cold.
