Lá Fhéile Bride Shona Daoibh!

Well Spring was not exactly heralded in with St Bridget's Day. Thick damp murk this morning followed by a slight break in the clouds this afternoon and we rushed out and did a boggy tramp along the old green road towards Kilcrohane, then left at the fir tree down to Reenmore where this rather soggy gang thought we were most interesting. There's always one. I wasn't sure which sheep pic I like best so you get both.

Still, the Bratog Bride (hanky) was dampish this morning and covered in snail trails which must be a good sign. The thrush is singing loudly in the gloom, the daffs are coming out, the frogs are spawning, the sheep are looking very round and the postbox has been decorated. It's getting a tight squeeze in there now.
Hoping to watch The Dig later, a dramatised film about the discovery of the Sutton Hoo treasures just before the second World War - I know a few of you have watched it all ready. If you haven't seen this short film  made by a very engaging curator at the British Museum - do! It's eye opening.
