IT'S BEEN SO WARM......

On this MonoMonday, with the world warming at an alarming rate, it was no surprise that a polar bear surfaced through the ice on the Millpond in Glenbeulah WI yesterday. 

OK.....levity aside, this was actually shot at the zoo in Milwaukee. If you'd like to see the color version, check the Extra. Look in LARGE.

BTW....have you noticed that polar bear skin is black? Its hair is not white....it's actually translucent and sunlight can penetrate to its black skin which warms the bear just as a black interior in your car can get very hot with the windows closed. It effect, it's its own personalized Greenhouse Effect.
