Lake Hawea Walk

Today we parked at John Creek, and walked along the cliff face towards the Hawea Township.  The clouds looked great  (Extra 1)  This is the view from our lunch spot.  (2)  Californian Poppies  (3)  Yay, there's a new bridge!  (4)  The road to Timaru Creek  (5)  On the track.  

It has been very hot +29C,.  We had a welcome cuppa at a local cafe before heading for home.  Just over 11,000 steps, or 8 Km.  Time to put my feet up.  Another wonderful day out with great company.
