My Life and Me

Pain!

A few year ago after having the flu I ended up with swollen lymph nodes in my neck. Initial blood tests showed raised inflammations and were followed by months of blood tests and scans which eventually showed there was nothing wrong. The lymph nodes have stayed swollen.

I had the flu at new year and have felt run down since. This week I have a horrendous pain in my head just behind my ear. I've been alternating pain relief 2 hourly and managed to get an appointment to see the Dr today. It appears I have more swollen lymph nodes, this time along my mastoid muscle behind my ear. The pain could actually be a muscular thing, totally unrelated to the lymph nodes and the Dr hopes they'll go down.

I'm to continue with the 2 hourly pain relief and go back on Friday if I'm no better. Some pains I can cope with but this one is just bloody awful and constant.
