Long walk

It stopped raining at 11am, and the forecast was to stay dry. Nobody wanted to do any outdoor activities, but Mr S would drop me off somewhere. So, he suggested Staffelegg, at 620m, paths go off in all directions, so I could choose a route at the last minute. I decided to head straight up the Hombergeregg, 780m. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the trekking poles, and there was a lot of deep soft snow, on the north facing side. So it was a bit slow going, but once I got on the wonderful limestone ridge, I could speed up a bit. The path stayed high up, occasional pockets of snow, for the first 1 hour and a half, then I headed down to the River Aare. The river was very full, but not overflowing, and followed it for the next hour. At Wildegg, I headed up the River Bunz, then through our local forest and back home.
