Big bird watch
The smallest bird in Britain.
The annual RSPB garden bird watch today started very well with a tiny wee Goldcrest.
An awful photo, but it does prove it was there.
I had a great haul, but didn't manage a complete hour, so when the website allows. ( I couldn't get on all evening), I will upload my results. The 4 Long tailed tits and the 2 Tree sparrows made a welcome finale.
The bird bath was busy and the feeders were queuing round the... garden.
We all (3) of us walked to Milnathort and grabbed a takeaway cake and coffee. The cake was saved for afternoon tea and the coffee was gratefully consumed.
Star had a very short runaround and back on the lead for the walk home.
Dinner tonight was chicken and ham pie with homemade potato wedges with rape seed oil and stir fried shredded Brussel sprouts.
