I’ve finally finished season 2 of The Crown, meaning I can move on to the season in which Gillian Anderson plays Maggie Thatch. Gillian can do no wrong.

A day of successfully avoiding work despite something semi-important that I wanted to finish yesterday. A good book, staving off urges to binge on Haribo, some Portuguese practice and watching the very entertaining show Lucifer.

I’ve been drawn regularly to this poster in a front room window near to where I’m staying. They have quite a flimsy curtain so until now I’ve avoided lurking to snap it so I don’t look like a prowler. We The Future is a campaign showcasing young leaders, and this is Isra Chaker, a Syrian-American woman working as an activist on refugee issues and things like Trump’s Muslim ban.
