Stepping out

I went for a walk...
I met a neighbour who lives with her housebound mum. They have a leak in the roof and are worried about finding someone to fix it.
I met another neighbour hobbling along the street. Last December, all of a sudden, his back started aching. He had tests and is waiting for the results. He is suffering. The hospital have given him a telephone appointment to explain what the tests found - in March.
He mentioned another neighbour, aged 59, had just died.

I think I might stay in for a while.
