Where have all the birdies gone?

The birds are being very elusive today. I am sure that they have tweeted and word has got around that they shouldn't visit gardens in the UK this weekend.

Fortunately I did my hour of bird watching on Friday before they had time to get the message out and saw Long Tailed Tits (3), Blackbirds (2) and one of each of the following: Blue Tit, Chaffinch, House Sparrow, Greenfinch, Robin, Starling, Wood Pigeon and Wren. We normally see Coal Tits and Great Tits but I haven't seen any this weekend. Usually there is more than one Starling, more Blue Tits and House Sparrows than I managed to count. Now it looks as if the bird watch part of the RSPB website has gone down. I will try again tomorrow.
