Wrong kind of wings

Having counted the birds on the feeders in my garden (I was warm indoors and they were easy to spot) I drove down to a village just south of Bristol to do the bird count with a friend who doesn’t have a garden. We sat in the churchyard with binoculars and a notepad each. Firstly it was FREEZING even though we both had lots of extra clothes on. And secondly, it’s quite hard to spot birds in the trees, as opposed to on feeders. They sing - so you know they’re there. But they hide behind branches. We kept going and identified enough to feel happy about it, and then went for a walk around the churchyard to warm up. And I thought this angel was lovely. And she kept still while I took her picture.
