Needles In A Haystack
In an almost featureless landscape of white snow, it takes a lot of searching to find anything that stands out. In just a few square feet of an opening in the snow, I found these ice crystals.
Finding them is one thing, making an interesting photograph is another. I think my arrangement of shapes ended up too static, but I wanted to feature the needles, so I placed them towards the centre against the darker ice.
Extra: Etched By Wind. We haven't had much wind this winter (yet).
