Due to weather yesterday delayed butchers trip. Here are the 1st two question boards and the right hand pic with the dogs is an instrument you need to answer the middle question. Here we go:
Left- How old are the trees here when they are used? Count the year rings on the trunk disk. What result do you get?
Middle- Trees are the most distinctive living organism in the forest ecosystem. Due to optimal soil & weather conditions here in Unterallgaeu, they can reach a considerable height. Determine the tree height with the adjacent measuring instrument. What height did you measure?
Right - the height measuring instrument. No instructions & I haven't managed to work it out.

Weather awful - foggy & damp. As I write the Bavarian Minister President, Horst Seehofer & all other notable Bavarian politicians are being taken apart at the Nockherberg Strong Beer "Derblecken" on Bavarian TV, one of the highlights of the fifth season in Bavaria. Horst was in Rome this morning to say goodbye to the Bavarian Pope Benedict & will probably dash over to the Allianz Arena to see the 2nd half of the Munich vs Dortmund football cup match. I bought two bottles of Andechs Abbey Doppelbock & have started on #1 - 7.1% Alcohol!
