Paddy field

Our walk this morning took us to the Fincham's Close side of Pocket Park, where, unsurprisingly we were unable to cross the river.  The dog swam it, expecting us to go the usual route, and looked back at us in puzzlement (see extra) when we didn't.

Further along the bank we came across 3 rows of new shoots which had obviously been underwater earlier in the week.   I wonder if it's rice, I think it might be too wet for anything else.
