We walked steeply up to Whinlatter Visitors' Centre ( we knew it would be closed ) from Thornthwaite this morning. A super walk that follows the beck most of the way up through a combe. It takes just over an hour...

Great views of Skiddaw and Grisedale Pike.

The really strong wind was bitterly cold!!!

We found shelter in the woods to have our picnic...
