A fine day in the north
An exceedingly fine day in Aberdeen, with wall to wall blue skies. I spent the morning at the harbour mouth, watching the ships come and go. This is definitely the most impressive one that I saw.
The KL Saltfjord was launched in 2011 and sails under the flag of Norway, out of Bergen. The vessel is designed and equipped for anchor handling and towing operations and for supplying oil rigs, production platforms with deck cargo and liquid cargoes. With a bollard pull of 397 tons she is ranked as the largest anchor-handler in the world.
