Too many cooks?

Mr Pandammonium whipped up a lasagne ready for tonight’s tea, then made gingerbread snowflake biscuits from a kit he got from Santa, along with some salted butter and golden syrup. Very thoughtful of Santa to provide the extras!

Meanwhile, I made a loaf of mutant bread and some leek and potato soup.

The bread and soup weren’t ready to eat at the same time, but we used the bread for a garlicky accompaniment to the lasagne.

While the bread was proving, we ate some of the soup then some of the biscuits while watching a newly released film on Netflix: The Dig. It’s about the excavation of Sutton Hoo in Suffolk. It seemed appropriate to use our souvenir tea towel to cover the bread while it proved.
