Orton on the Hill

This village really is on the hill. Today turned out glorious, not too warm, but very sunny after lunch. We had lunch at the Unicorn then walked right round the village. I've never seen so many snowdrops! There was a little wood full of them; big ones too.

This view looks towards the west, with the M42 in the distance. If they have their way HS2 will cross the horizon through this glorious countryside.
