Garden progress

Another dry and warm day allowed more work in the garden.  A mulch of cardboard covered with composted horse bedding was applied around the apple trees to keep down weeds and supply nutrient to the apple crop.  In past years this treatment has greatly increased the size and quantity of apples produced.  Care was taken not to cover the emerging daffodils with cardboard.
