Walnut trapped in a glass ball

Sometimes an idea has to be born, at other times the idea is just there as the most natural thing in the world. I saw a picture with a crystal ball passing by tonight and my grandson had found a walnut that a crow had dropped in flight. The idea of a walnut trapped in a glass globe on a perforated plate suddenly appeared.
