Bulnes

Warmth and sunshine when I started out today - not that it shows here - so a trip to the clouded mountains. Bulnes has no road access, not that you could get a car up. Access is by foot (about an hour from the nearest road) or by a small funicular railway that goes through the mountain. The photo shows the outskirts as the walker arrives, and doesn´t do justice to the efforts of residents further in. 
Extra shows the Río Cares in spate on its way through the village. Extra 2 shows the famous Naranjo de Bulnes (aka Urriellu), at a little over 2,500 metres the highest peak in the Picos de Europa.
