Frozen in Time

The morning was misty and frozen at Belhaven. The mist cleared as the sun rose over the beach at low tide, leaving these sheets of frozen and frost-rimmed ice lying delicately on the seaweed. They melted within a few minutes of being lit by the sun, so the scene disappeared as I watched.

A beautiful clear day followed, very cold but still and beautiful. I worked at home, looking out and wishing I was on the bike. Just as well I was out first thing!
