¶ Street Art(?)

For our little photo group we give each other challenges based on a random list of topics. We then have a week to make something of it. This week's theme is "Street Art" and I've been having a tough time defining what it is, as well as finding something that is actually 'art'. Graffiti is a form of art, right? It's also very easy so I am looking for something s little bit more challenging.

This image was from our local skate park which, for the most part you stay away from on account of the kids that hang out there, only it rained for most of the day so I figured it'd be empty. I grabbed my trusty wee camera and headed down and sure enough - empty. I spent about thirty minutes here to capture as much of the, uhur, street art as I could before heading home to the second of my two meetings today.

I was saying to Cat how disconnected I feel from work and life generally since Covid hit back at the end of March last year. I have so little interaction with anyone, it's hard to tell who I work for. Some vague entity at the other end of an email is about as close as I can get. I was supposed to have a catch up with my manager but he bailed out on me, as did another colleague who has been off work for ages and for whom I have been covering. All too busy to take five minutes out of their schedule to find out how things are going.

"och, just fine ", I'll say because I'm a coward and don't want the hassle of explaining it all to people who don't really have the time or solution.

Spoke to K. a lot today which was nice. Dinner was a mishmash of leftovers, and it's too late to go for a walk or a drive because the curfew - a curfew! - is about to start.

And so we go on.
