Abstract Thursday: Rushes
Despite appearances and the theme for today’s challenge being Motion, we weren’t really rushing past the rushes on this afternoon’s walk to Sharpham; just a bit of ICM to create the effect.
We’ve had two pieces of sad news in the last 24 hours which put the difficulties of coping with lockdown into perspective.
Yesterday we got a letter from the lady who was my next door neighbour when I was a boy to let us know her husband had passed away; he was in his late nineties and they had been together for 80 years and she is missing him terribly.
This morning, Tess had a phone call from her cousin’s wife to tell her that he had died from Alzheimer’s. He was only 67.
My ex-neighbour’s letter ended “Cherish what you have.”
On a lighter note, in a nod to today’s theme, here are New Order performing World In Motion at Glastonbury, with the aid of a pantomime horse
